Signing Ceremony of the 《Agreement Between the Government of the Macao Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China and the Government of Mongolia on Cooperation to Combat Trafficking in Persons》

The Signing Ceremony of the 《Agreement Between the Government of the Macao Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China and the Government of Mongolia on Cooperation to Combat Trafficking in Persons》was held on October 18, 2010 at the Conference Room of the Office of the Security for Secretary. Cheong Kuoc Vá, Secretary for Security, and D. Tsogtbaatar, State Secretary for Foreign Affairs and Trade of Mongolia signed the agreement. The crime of trafficking in persons transnational, there is a need to strengthen international and regional cooperation so as to jointly prevent and combat the crime of human trafficking. With the support of the Office of the Commissioner of the China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the MSAR, and after thorough study by the Macao SAR Government and the Government of Mongolia, in order to strengthen cooperation in preventing and suppressing human trafficking, as well as protecting victims, both governments agree to enhance bilateral cooperation to combat and prevent human trafficking, especially trafficking of women and children, as well as protection and reintegration of victims.
