In order to foster harmonic employment relations, the Labor Affairs Bureau constantly organizes or co-organizes the captioned seminar so as to let different target personnel better understand the content of forced labor stipulated in «Labor Relations Law», «Law on Employment of Non-resident Workers» and Law No.6/2008 «Combat the Crime of Trafficking in Persons». The objective is to let employers and employees learn more about the employment rights and obligations so that the legitimate interests can be secured.
During 2019, the bureau co-organized 117 sessions with the Legal Affairs Bureau, Public Security Police Force and associations from different industries. Each session contained Q&A and short video clips of different scenarios. It was found that the degree of participation was able to increase through interactive sharing between the instructors and participants. Promotion pamphlets were also given out so as to enhance the effectiveness of the campaign.
The above sessions were highly appreciated which drew an attendance of 12,577 participants including employers, local employees, foreign employees and high school students. Through these sessions, they were explained the rights of both employers and employees and the concept of forced labor so that they would be able to better protect themselves during job seeking or employment.
