"Rights and Obligations of Labor Relations" Seminar – Session for Filipino Foreign Workers

On June 1, 2014, the Labour Affairs Bureau, the Legal Affairs Bureau, the Human Resources Office and the Public Security Police organized the "Rights and Obligations of Labor Relations Seminar –Session for Filipino Foreign Workers”. The Seminar was organized on invitation by the Philippine Consulate General in Macau, for the purpose of raising awareness of foreign Filipino workers (including domestic workers) in Macau of the labour laws, so as to protect their own interest.
Contents of the seminar include the "Labor Relations Act," "Law for Employment of Non-resident Workers” and topics about forced labor in Law No.6/2008 "Combating the Crime of Human Trafficking”. There was also a Q&A session for the audience. Nearly 45 audiences attended the seminar, and pamphlets were distributed to participants.
