Seminar on Rights and Obligations in Labour Relation – Session for Philippine Workers
23-07-2017

On July 23, 2017, upon the invitation by the Consulate of the Philippines in Macao, the Labour Affairs Bureau co-organized the “Seminar on Rights and Obligations in Labour Relation” with the Legal Affairs Bureau and the Public Security Police Force. Content of the seminar included the stipulations in the «Labour Relations Law», «Law for the Employment of Non-resident Workers» and the Law No.6/2008 «Combat the Crime of Trafficking in Persons». It was aimed to enhance the participants’ understanding of their employment rights and obligations, as well as their understanding of labour exploitation.

The seminar highlighted some typical employment and labour exploitation issues, hoping to clearly layout their rights and obligations by means of lecture, case studies and interactive discussion. The seminar was attended by more than 70 foreign workers during which they were given related promotion pamphlets of the abovementioned laws.
