Meeting with the Ambassador-at-Large of the Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons of the U.S. Department of State

On 2 December, 2016, coordinator Cheong Ioc Ieng, members Adriano Ho and Carlos Balona Gomes of the Human Trafficking Deterrent Measures Concern Committee had a meeting with Ambassador-at-Large Susan Coppedge of the Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons of the U.S. Department of State and other U.S. officials to exchange their experience regarding the fight against human trafficking.

During the meeting, they shared their experience on different aspects of the fight against human trafficking, namely the prevention and tackling, promotion and victim protection. Meanwhile, Ms. Cheong also made detailed debriefing about the composition and operation of the Human Trafficking Deterrent Measures Concern Committee, as well as the relevant measures adopted by the Macao SAR Government targeting the issues of human trafficking.
