Seminar on Rights and Obligations in Labour Relation - Session for Construction Sector

On December 29, 2014, the Labour Affairs Bureau, Human Resources Office and the Public Security Police Force jointly held the “Seminar on Rights and Obligations in Labour Relation – Session for Construction Sector”. It was aimed to enrich the knowledge in relation to the stipulations about labour exploitation in the «Labour Relations Law», «Law for the Employment of Non-resident Workers», «Construction Sector Safety Card Regime» and «Combat the Crime of Trafficking in Persons» to employers and employees of the said industry so as to better protect the legitimate interests of both parties and to enhance stable and harmonic labour relationship. The seminar covered not only the abovementioned laws but also provided Q & A session where questions were answered by corresponding representatives during the occasion. The seminar was attended by around 60 participants from the construction sector where pamphlets were distributed to them at the scene.
