Visit to Seoul, South Korea

A delegation of the Human Trafficking Deterrent Measures Concern Committee visited Seoul, South Korea on 2-7 September. This visit was coordinated by the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Hong Kong and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Republic of Korea. The delegation met with several government departments, NGO and international organization whose works are related to combating human trafficking. The departments visited include Seoul Immigration Office, the Ministry of Employment and Labor, the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, Korea Woman's Home, the DASI HAMKKE Center and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Seoul Office. The delegation had meetings with the departments and organizations, from which deepened the delegation’s understanding of South Korea’s work on combating human trafficking, as well as support and protection measures for victims.
