At the invitation of the Bali Process, from 6 to 7 August 2018, the Unitary Police Service, Macao Customs and Judiciary Police respectively assigned 1 representative to participate in the 7th Ministerial Conference and Senior Officials Meeting held in Bali, Indonesia, with the aim of sharing and discussing with the law enforcement officers of the Asia-Pacific regions the latest situations and challenges related to combating cross-border criminal activities of illegal immigration and human trafficking.

During the conference, the Bali Process decided to formalize the Business Forum, created in 2017, as a permanent platform to continuously strengthen cooperation between governments and private enterprises. Objective of which is to eliminate human trafficking, forced labor, modern slavery and the worst forms of child labor by means of encouraging companies to fulfill business ethics and furnishing necessary legal systems.

In addition to the law enforcement officers of some Bali Process member countries and regions, participants also included representatives of the International Organization for Migration, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime and the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. During the conference, participants shared information and experience which provided a useful occasion to facilitate intelligence gathering and enhance the response capacity in the fight against illegal immigration, human trafficking and related cross-border crimes.
