03-05-2015

On May 3, 2015, upon the request of the Consulate of the Philippines, the Labour Affairs Bureau, Legal Affairs Bureau, Human Resources Office and the Public Security Police Force jointly held the “Seminar on Rights and Obligations in Labour Relation”. It was aimed to enrich the knowledge in relation to the stipulations about labour exploitation in the «Labour Relations Law», «Law for the Employment of Non-resident Workers» and «Combat the Crime of Trafficking in Persons» among such workers so as to better protect the legitimate interests of both parties and to enhance stable and harmonic employment relationship. The seminar also provided a Q & A session. It was attended by around 60 foreign workers during which they actively raised related questions. Pamphlets were also distributed to them at the scene.
