In order to strengthen social service personnel the definition and concept of human trafficking, as well as to enhance their ability to identify cases, the Social Welfare Bureau organized the "Combat Human Trafficking Training Programs" (Introductory and Advanced programs) on 16-18 October. The programs were lectured by professional staffs from the International Organization for Migration. Targeted participants were social workers and counselors of Family and Community Service Center and IAS. Content of the programs include both theory and practices. By introducing relevant legislation, interviewing skills and case studies, participants can have a deeper understanding on the topic concerned, and at the same time enhance their professional skills.
